Hi Villager! So far I haven't seen much pushback on swearing as long as you drop an occasional ! * or # in place of vowels.

I really hate F-bombs......
I know we're better than that.

Fetch!
Villager… how did your dad get involved in those crowds? Is he genuinely displeased at the church leadership?

I don't know how displeased he is. I don't think he would allow me to see a chunk in his testimony. However, he had long been a prepper and a funny. He is too old to do anything dramatic now, but he has had his moments of near departure from orthodoxy.

Did any Idaho NOMies attend the conference?
If not, has anyone else seen/heard/read anything about how it went?
Has the restoration been rescued?
Inquiring fluffy people want to know!

I’ll check with Fanny Alger and her 3 friends I registered for the conference.
Stig and I
MAY have also “accidentally” registered the whole Fancher party as well.
There’s a link on the page to watch the presentations.

I listened to the opening remarks and, apart from a number of specific points, I agreed with most of what she said. The church lacks vision and inspiration, it has fallen into darkness, truth is best found by deeply studying "both sides" of the issues.
I am secretly cheering for this movement. I would like to see it roll forth like a stone cut out of a mountain without hands and stomp on the big ugly idol's feet of clay.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. If it makes the LDS church more fundamentalist and higher demand then that's probably not a great thing. If it softens it and makes it more mainstream, benign, and healthy then I'm all for this movement. I guess time will tell to see the effect it might have.
In any event, it's super interesting.
