He basically said that it wasn't a translation like scholars would do from old documents, but like a "revelation." That's the new "mormal" all right.

Didn't Martin Harris mortgage his farm WITHOUT consulting with his wife? Did I read that in Rough Stone Rolling? I mean obviously women didn't have property rights at the time, but it goes a long way in explaining why she was so pissed.

That is accurate. She knew it was happening, but did not agree with it.

I noticed that too - "we" were called to preside over 400 missionaries. I thought, "you mean, YOU were called to preside." Just didn't want to be too snarky today.
