The reasons laid out by Elder Cook are the same as we got when the 3 hour block schedule was announced, if I remember correctly.

Although we were just told that Home Evening can be held on Sunday.

He seems to emphasize this is an "adjustment" not a change. Because we all know the gospel never changes. Whatever helps you sleep at night Elder Cook.
